Mead Wilderness Base was located in Sandwich, NH. The property consisted of 22 acres and was leased in 1953 from the White Mountain National Forest to Daniel Webster Council. A variety of wilderness trips were conducted from there.

The Base was closed and the program run out of Store Scout Reservation in conjunction with Minuteman Council. After a short period of time as a joint partnership, the program was re-established as part of Hidden Valley. Check out Mead Base Page for an extensive history of the Mead Wilderness Base.
